They are tapered to comfortable fit the ear canal for maximum protection. These foam earplugs are made from a hypo-allergenic material that is a bright orange color. I've used a lot of different ear plugs.I first tried the 3M1100 in an airline vanity pack I swiped from a first class seat, and they are the best. When i saw the price of these, I jumped at them. even with shipping, this price was less than 1/4 of the price at the drugstore. I may never use 200 pr., if I use 40 it's a wash.Overall
With these, when you roll them in your fingers, they are firm enough that inserting them is easy. Many other types "inflate" too quickly or are too soft to insert deep enough that they stay in. (Posted on 1/6/12)
