Details

Justrite's Aerosolv line is a safe and economical way to dispose of your aerosol cans. Aerosolv provides an easy to use and effective way of relieving pressure in used aerosol can for discarding. This system changed cans from solid hazardous waste, to non hazardous and fully recyclable. It eliminated the expense of a solid waste disposal of aerosol cans.

Ever 100 cans punctured and emtied by Aerosolv increases recyclable scrap metal by 25 lbs and reduces solid waste by 10 cubic feet! This makes the Aerosolv system very cost effective! The contents of over 4000 spent aerosols may be collected in 1 - 55 gallon drum!

The puncturing unit, which depressurizes empty aerosol cans is made of low maintenance aircraft aluminum and threads into the 2" bung of a standard 55-gallon drum. All moving parts are 308 stainless steel. It accepts series 200, 300 and 6 oz. cans. No power source is needed. Simply insert inverted can, tighten sliding plate to engage, and press handle to pierce a smooth edged hole into the dome of the can. Carbide-tipped piercing pin withstands repeated use with no visible signs of wear after puncturing 10,000 aerosol cans. The combination coalescing/carbon filter threads into the .75" drum bung and is comprised of two parts. The lower coalescing portion removes airborne liquids while the replaceable, upper activated carbon portion adsorbs hydrocarbons and odor.

The Super Aerosolv System includes puncturing unit with plastic sleeve, standard coalescing/carbon filter, anti-static wire and goggles to enhance safety like the Standard System. However it is enhanced by including the addition of a lockout and shutoff mechanism and a padlock with key. The Super System is easier to keep clean as dirt slides off it's PFTE coating. Includes a 32 oz bottle of degreaser. A more convenient, color changing combination coalescing/carbon filter signals saturation and eliminates premature changing of upper activated carbon cartridge. Complies with EPA 40 CFR 261.23 (a)6.
