It features an oxygen restricting design to safely collect cigarette butts and reduce the risk of fire. Simply drop in a lit cigarette and let the self-extinguishing design do the rest. Simple two-piece flame retardant polyethylene construction opens easily and includes a 1 gallon galvanized bucket for quick cleaning. Its unique design includes an internal drip lip to keep ugly tar condensation from escaping.

Neglected, will cause fire...

We have been using one of these and loved it. However, when the bucket gets full of butts and spills over to the bottom of the plastic container, it is no longer self extinguishing. Ours caught on fire, with copious amounts of smoke billowing out the top. Had noone been home to flood it with water it would have melted the plastic and the uncontained fire could have caught the deck, the house, the fence, the oil and propane tanks nearby. This device is a fire hazzard, if you don't clean it out regularly and the butts and out of site out of mind until the combustion begins... (Posted on 2/4/12)Overall -
