The North replacement respirator cartridges are a must, even for the homeowner, when working with hazardous chemicals.Overall
I don't even consider not wearing respirator, when working with paint thinner, lacquer thinner, solvents (especially in closed spaces). Also, if you're cutting tile, or cementious material, you should wear a particulate respirator filter, otherwise small particles can get in you lungs and stay there. North makes excellent product. And I can wear the North respirator mask (North 7700 Series Silicone Half Mask Respirator, item # 770030) for hours, comfortably. Also, this is a must if you have allergies, sensitive to chemicals.
